The helpline’s recent bulletin revealed that a significant portion of the calls, precisely 77.4 percent, were from individuals distressed by cybercrime incidents. These callers predominantly reported issues related to hacking, financial fraud, and identity theft—a testament to the growing sophistication of cybercriminals.
Interestingly, the demographic breakdown of the callers showed a higher engagement from females, who made up 61.4 percent of the total calls, compared to 38.6 percent from males.
