Weather Update: Localized Rain and Isolated Storms Predicted
As the weekend approaches, residents and visitors of the island are advised to keep their umbrellas close at hand. According to the latest forecasts, Saturday’s weather is set to bring a mix of conditions, starting with a bright and sunny morning that could later give way to localized rain and isolated storms in various parts of the region.
The meteorological office, having issued a yellow weather warning on Friday, anticipates that storms will be more likely inland, in the mountainous areas, and along the east coast during the afternoon hours. These conditions are expected to emerge following the pleasant morning, with temperatures reaching up to a comfortable 25 degrees Celsius inland. Coastal areas will experience slightly cooler weather, with highs of 22 degrees Celsius, while the mountains will see a peak of 16 degrees Celsius.
As night falls, a significant drop in temperatures is anticipated. Inland areas will see the mercury dip to around 10 degrees Celsius, coastal regions will hover around 12 degrees Celsius, and those in the mountains will need to brace for a chillier 6 degrees Celsius.
Looking ahead to Sunday, the weather seems unwilling to settle down. Increased cloud cover throughout the day could lead to isolated rain showers and the potential for storms, particularly in the mountains and inland areas. This unsettled pattern is not just a flash in the pan; scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue into Monday and Tuesday. Alongside the wetter weather, temperatures across the island are also predicted to experience a gradual decline.
Islanders and tourists alike are encouraged to stay informed about the latest weather updates and prepare for a changeable few days ahead. Whether planning outdoor activities or simply going about daily life, it’s wise to consider the likelihood of rain and storms when making plans for the coming days.
