The upcoming Evening Sale, scheduled for Wednesday, April 17th at 7:00 PM at Gallery K, features a total of 154 lots, offering a journey through artistic innovation from the late 19th century to contemporary creations.

The collection is curated to resonate with both seasoned collectors and newcomers, ensuring diversity in artworks and affordability. “Our aim was to present a collection that evokes a myriad of human emotions,” says Ritsa Kyriacou, Director at Cypria Fine Art Auctions. With pieces ranging from naives and landscapes to still lifes and intimate indoor scenes, the auction is a testament to the rich storytelling power of art.

Spotlighted Iconic Cypriots

Among the distinguished lineup, Christoforos Savva’s abstract compositions, such as Composition with House and Composition with Heart, both estimated between €12,000 and €18,000, reflect his passion for spatial dynamics. Andreas Ladommatos’s Loves Me, Loves Me Not, estimated at €4,500 – €7,500, transports viewers to a sun-kissed field of youthful romance and springtime bliss.

Andreas Chrysohos’s Quarter 3, 2003, estimated at €4,000 – €8,000, channels the spirit of the Renaissance era with a scene of serene beauty. His work Persephoni, estimated at €2,500 – €5,000, invites viewers into a realm of surreal wonder with its dreamlike quality and mythological themes.

Spotlight on Renowned Greeks

Greek artist Yannis Gaitis’s sculpture One Figure, 1982, estimated at €10,000 – €20,000, captures universal themes of identity and existence with its dynamic composition. Pericles Pantazis’s Still Life with Grapes, estimated at €10,000 – €15,000, offers a timeless meditation on beauty and transience through his mastery of the naturalist style.

The auction also shines a light on international masterpieces, including rare Iranian artworks that provide a glimpse into Iran’s artistic heritage. These pieces are coveted by collectors for their unique narratives and vibrant soul.

Alecos Fassianos’s works, including drawings and limited edition prints, are featured prominently. His distinctive style resonates poetically with viewers through elongated figures and dreamlike compositions. Stass Paraskos’s In The Village, estimated at €3,500 – €7,000, creates an interplay of lively colours that evoke peace and harmony.

Oumbertos Argyros’s Couple riding on the pathway to the village, estimated at €4,000 – €7,000, depicts a tranquil rural scene. Alexandros Alexandrakis’s Asma Asmaton II, estimated at €7,000 – €12,000, captures the essence of human connection with its particularly dynamic depictions of the Greco-Italian War.

The auction invites art enthusiasts to partake in the dialogue of human creativity. With live online bidding available through Invaluable and Drouot platforms, art lovers can also preview the collection at Gallery K from April 3rd to April 16th.
