Otgo Waller, a world-renowned contortionist and coach, is bringing her expertise to Nicosia and Limassol for a series of exclusive workshops.
Hosted by Flying Dolls & Bird of Paradise Pole Studios, these workshops are designed to introduce participants to the mesmerizing world of contortion. Whether you are a novice or an experienced performer, Otgo’s sessions are tailored to help individuals explore and enhance their flexibility.
With a storied career that began on the holy mountain Bogd Uul near Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Otgo has risen to the ranks of the world’s elite contortionists by the tender age of 13. Her journey took a pivotal turn when she joined the Ringling Brothers & Barnum Bailey Circus in 1991, leading to a flourishing career in America. Now, she dedicates her time to teaching, with a clientele that includes Olympic athletes and professional performers.
The Nicosia workshop is scheduled for this Saturday at 4 pm, where attendees will be introduced to the fundamentals of Mongolian contortion, including splits and backbends. The session promises to be an enlightening experience for all levels, with no prior experience required.
Limassol will host a similar class next weekend at 11:30 am, followed by an afternoon session that delves deeper into advanced contortion techniques. For those seeking personalized instruction, Otgo will offer one-hour private classes from 4 pm onwards, teaching up to two contortion tricks such as the Chin Stand and Needle Scale.
