Resumption of Air Services Between Cyprus, Jordan, and Lebanon
In the wake of recent tensions in the Middle East, air services between Cyprus and neighboring countries Jordan and Lebanon have resumed normal operations. This development follows a temporary closure of airspace due to an attack involving unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles launched by Iran against Israel.
Hermes Airports has confirmed that flights to Amman and Beirut from Larnaca Airport are now operating as usual. The air connection was disrupted on Saturday night but has since been reestablished after the reopening of the affected airspace.
Additionally, the three Israeli airlines, El-Al, Arkia, and Isr Air, have maintained their regular flight schedules between Larnaca and Tel Aviv. While other airlines have cancelled flights to Tel Aviv for the day, they are adjusting their schedules on a daily basis in response to the evolving situation.
However, Cyprus Airways has taken a more cautious approach. The airline announced the suspension of all flights to and from Beirut starting Monday, 15th April. They have also indicated that a further announcement will be made regarding the flight scheduled for Tuesday, 16th April, to and from Tel Aviv.
Travelers are advised to stay informed about the latest developments and check with their respective airlines for up-to-date information regarding their travel plans. The restoration of the air connection between Cyprus, Jordan, and Lebanon is a positive sign amidst the ongoing regional challenges.
