Nalin, contributing a valuable 21, joined forces with Supan who scored a brilliant 53. Together, they steered their team towards victory without further loss, sealing the win with just one ball remaining.
Elsewhere in the league, the Philips Warriors nearly caused an upset against the Nicosia Tigers. Amandeep’s knock of 49 propelled the Warriors to 96, setting a stage for a tense finish. The Tigers, despite losing 7 wickets and facing a resilient bowling attack led by Harjeet, managed to scrape through for a 3-wicket win.
The encounter between Lankan Sports and Punjabi Kings was a high-scoring affair with Lankan Sports amassing 199-6 thanks to two significant partnerships. Tharanga and Roshan’s explosive batting laid the foundation for their team’s total. In response, Punjabi Kings fell short despite Rajinder’s half-century and Karan’s contribution.
Limassol Qalandars and Royal also set formidable targets in their respective matches, with strong partnerships being at the heart of their innings. However, their opponents, Akrotiri and Nicosia Fighters, couldn’t keep up with the pace required and fell short in their run chases.
In the 40 Over league, Moufflons showcased their dominance over Black Caps with a comprehensive victory. Waqas and Huzaifa’s batting efforts took Moufflons to a commanding total of 271.
