Journey Mentor, headquartered in the United Kingdom, specializes in providing white-label services to enhance the operational capabilities of small to medium-sized airlines, travel agents, and Travel Management Companies (TMCs). Their offerings span the gamut from search and booking to pricing, purchasing, and inventory management within the travel ecosystem.
The company has expressed that Sies’ role will be pivotal in steering Journey Mentor towards sustained growth and profitability. His responsibilities will encompass setting the strategic direction and spearheading initiatives that will expand the company’s market footprint.
With a track record of transforming challenged airlines and hospitality businesses, Sies’ expertise is expected to be a significant asset. His prior tenure as CEO of Cyprus Airways saw him introduce a strategic overhaul that segmented the business into three main revenue streams and re-established Cyprus Airways as a key player in the Cypriot market. Similarly, his leadership at Air Malta was marked by a transition to a hybrid business model and crucial restructuring efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic, which included securing EU funds for the airline’s survival.
Sies’ extensive background also includes chief commercial officer roles at various carriers and executive positions at travel-related organizations. His insights into overcoming outdated technological systems in the industry align with Journey Mentor’s mission to provide modern, tailored solutions to travel industry players.
