A Showcase of Skill and Spirit at the International Coastal Rowing Beach Sprints
The picturesque Malindi Beach in Cyprus became the stage for a spectacular display of athletic prowess as the 2nd International Coastal Rowing Beach Sprints unfolded from April 19th to 21st. Organized by the esteemed Limassol Nautical Club (LNC), the event was a highlight within the vibrant Lemesia festival, bringing together a global community to celebrate the sport of coastal rowing.
The event attracted 160 athletes and coaches from 16 countries, including powerhouses from Europe, Asia’s prominent competitors like China and Japan, and other regions. The diverse lineup featured not only Olympians and world champions but also emerging talents, all converging on Cyprus’s stunning shores to test their mettle in a series of high-octane sprint races.

This unique combination of running and rowing draws spectators to the edge of their seats as athletes battle both the elements and each other.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement as participants showcased their determination and sportsmanship. The races provided not just a test of physical abilities but also an opportunity for camaraderie and unity among the coastal rowing community. Spectators were treated to a weekend of thrilling competition against the backdrop of Cyprus’s coastal beauty, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
