Investigations Intensify in Nicosia Attempted Murder Case
In a shocking incident that has gripped the city of Nicosia, police are intensifying their efforts to uncover the assailants behind the attempted murder of a 34-year-old man. The violent event unfolded on the Paleochori – Anthoupolis road, leaving the victim in a critical state, currently fighting for his life in the Intensive Care Unit of the Nicosia General Hospital.

According to Andreou, the Cyprus News Agency has learned that numerous individuals have been detained and questioned in connection with the case. The incident was first reported on Tuesday afternoon when authorities were alerted to a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the injured man and promptly arranged for his transportation to the hospital. Preliminary information suggests that the victim was riding a large capacity motorcycle when he was pursued by the perpetrators on a scooter. In a terrifying confrontation, the attackers reportedly slowed down and fired three shots at the victim, with one bullet striking him in the neck.
