GOLF AND RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS
In the heart of Cyprus’s development boom, golf and residential projects are teeing off with impressive facilities and amenities. The Limassol Hills Golf Resort, a project exceeding €400 million, is not only a golfer’s paradise but also a hub for sustainable living, featuring a biological water treatment plant and a photovoltaic park. With over 2,700 workers involved during its construction phase, the resort will offer permanent employment to more than 750 individuals once operational.
Similarly, the Eagle Pine Golf Resort and Minthis Resort in Paphos are set to contribute significantly to the local economy and job market. These projects are expected to bring multiple benefits to the country, transforming its landscape and contributing to economic growth. They are designed with environmental considerations at the forefront, aligning with green and sustainable development principles.
MARINAS
The allure of the sea is being magnified with the expansion of Cyprus’s marina offerings. The redevelopment of Larnaca’s port and marina, despite facing challenges, is underway with an investment of €1.2 billion. The Paralimni Marina is another anticipated addition, set to complete in 2024, enhancing the island’s maritime appeal.
EDUCATION
Cyprus is experiencing a significant development boom in the educational sector as well. Investments in student accommodations are revitalizing historic areas and providing modern living solutions for scholars. The Cyprus University of Technology is also expanding its facilities with new student residences slated for completion by 2025.
ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS ACROSS THE ISLAND
Infrastructure improvements are paving the way for a more connected and accessible Cyprus. With a budget of €619.6 million outlined for development projects, the island is set to witness a transformation in its road network. Ten key infrastructure interventions are in motion, aiming to enhance connectivity and quality of life for residents across urban and rural areas.
From the Nicosia Ring Road to the Paphos-Polis Chrysochous Motorway, these infrastructure projects are crucial elements in Cyprus’s strategic growth. They not only facilitate easier movement but also bolster economic activity by creating jobs and attracting investments.
With billions of euros invested in various sectors, including infrastructure improvements, new marinas, hotels, medical centers, university buildings, golf courses, schools, and residential properties, Cyprus is charting a course towards a prosperous future. The construction sector’s contribution to the GDP and employment rates underscores its pivotal role in this Mediterranean nation’s development trajectory.
