Leventis Gallery Enhances Accessibility for 10th Anniversary
In a significant move to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Leventis Gallery is set to broaden its reach with an array of programmes designed to improve accessibility. The gallery’s commitment to inclusivity will see a series of events and initiatives tailored to cater to individuals with special needs, the elderly, and the wider community.
The gallery’s current temporary exhibition, “1, 2, 3…Paint,” is already drawing attention with its parallel events. However, the excitement continues to build as another exhibition titled “The Road to Paris” prepares to open its doors in the summer. This unique showcase, a collaboration between the Cyprus Olympic Committee and the Embassy of France in Cyprus, will provide an intimate look at the lives of athletes and the history of the Cyprus Olympic Committee. The exhibition is scheduled from June 25 to September 30.
November will see the opening of the Telemachos Kanthos exhibition, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion. This poignant display will feature works that reflect on the turbulent times of the 1960s and 1970s in Cyprus.
Adding a touch of humor to the gallery’s offerings, Katerina Vrana, an internationally acclaimed stand-up comedian, will present on May 16, bringing her distinctive perspective on art and culture.
The gallery is also set to host a variety of other activities, including open calls for artists, theatrical performances, and celebrations for International Museum Day on May 18. Educational lectures are also on the agenda, promising enriching experiences for all attendees.
