Monks Challenge Church Proceedings in High-Profile Scandal
In a recent development within the Avvakoum monastery scandal, two monks, Archimandrites Nektarios and Porfyrios, along with their legal representatives, have raised objections to the church’s investigative process. The monks, who are facing serious allegations of money laundering and inappropriate conduct, have been actively working with their immigration lawyer, Andriana Klaedes, and Anastasios Vavouskos, to challenge the church court’s actions.
During a meeting at the archbishopric, Klaedes and Vavouskos presented a memo to the church’s investigative committee.
