GTM Welcomes New Director to Lead Tax Practice
Global Tax Management (GTM), the esteemed corporate tax services firm, has recently enhanced its leadership team with the addition of Nicole “Nikki” McKinney as a Director in the firm’s Lead Tax Practice. McKinney, who brings a wealth of experience from the regulated utility sector, will operate from GTM’s Philadelphia Metro office. Her expertise in tax accounting is expected to be a driving force in the expansion of the firm’s energy and utility practice.
McKinney’s impressive background includes nearly a decade at UGI Utilities, where she managed regulatory tax and accounting. Her role there extended to acting as an expert witness on rate cases and overseeing the implementation of PowerTax for both regulated and non-regulated subsidiaries. McKinney’s diverse experience also spans positions at Dentsply Sirona, Baker Tilly, and Andersen, where she honed her skills in tax accounting and compliance services.
Christine Funkhouser, Chief Revenue Officer & Managing Director of GTM, expressed confidence in McKinney’s ability to navigate the complex tax landscape unique to utility companies. McKinney’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster GTM’s geographical reach and industry-specific services.
With a strong foundation in state and local tax considerations, particularly in Central Pennsylvania, McKinney is poised to make significant contributions to GTM. A Certified Public Accountant, she holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business/Management with a minor in Accounting, and a Master of Accountancy from Villanova University.
