In an effort to shed light on the often overlooked issue of menopause and its impact on women’s health and workplace performance, OneCare Group and AIPFE Cyprus-Women of Europe are set to host a groundbreaking Menopause Conference on May 19. The conference aims to provide valuable information and support to women navigating this natural transition, particularly within the professional environment.
The event will be held at the University of Cyprus Medical Campus, Shakolas Educational Centre, and will feature a lineup of distinguished experts discussing the multifaceted aspects of menopause. Marinos Kokkinis, managing director of OneCare Group, will inaugurate the conference, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to corporate wellbeing through its Menopause Project.
Attendees can expect insightful presentations from medical professionals such as Dr. Maro Petrou and Dr. Constantinos Stylianides, who will delve into the physiological aspects of menopause, while Dr. Katerina Mavromati and Dr. Maria Ali will explore the psychological dimensions. Stella Kakouri and Mahi Solomou will discuss practical workplace strategies to support women experiencing menopause.
A panel discussion moderated by Thalia Iacovou, founder of Menopause Support Cyprus, will further examine how businesses can foster a supportive environment through policies, education, and communication. The goal is to enhance workplace inclusivity for perimenopausal and menopausal women, thereby improving overall wellbeing and retention.
