Acquittal in Pedestrian Accident Case Involving School Inspector
In a closely watched case, the Limassol District Court has delivered a verdict on a tragic incident that occurred in 2019. Expert testimony revealed that the driver had a mere 2 seconds to react upon noticing Petrou. Even with an immediate response, the stopping distance required made the collision inevitable.
The court also highlighted the road improvements made since the accident, including the installation of new lighting fixtures and a median strip designed to enhance pedestrian safety.
