The performance is designed to be an engaging experience, especially for younger attendees who will be encouraged to play an active role in the event. As they explore the intricacies of the mansion through the interactive workshop, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the historical significance of their surroundings.
Following the performance, the evening will transition into a musical journey with the live sounds of the Gaba Project. This local musical duo, featuring Vasilis Vasiliou on handpan and percussions and Christina Polycarpou on the lyra, is known for their experimental soundscapes. Their collaboration marks a first-of-its-kind fusion between the traditional lyra and the contemporary handpan, creating an auditory experience that is both innovative and deeply rooted in Greek musical heritage.
The Gaba Project’s repertoire extends beyond Greek melodies, incorporating Eastern Mediterranean influences from Armenian to Bulgarian tunes, all played with a unique twist. The concert, which is free to the public, will commence at 9 pm, offering a perfect ending to an evening of cultural exploration and artistic enjoyment.
