Car Theft Arrests Lead to Recovery of Stolen Items in Limassol and Larnaca

Four individuals have been apprehended in connection with car thefts and stolen items, the police announced on Saturday, shedding light on two separate incidents that took place in Limassol and Larnaca.

Limassol Incident

In Limassol, a 64-year-old man reported the theft of his van during the night of May 16-17. The van, which had been parked outside his residence, contained valuable electrical equipment and tools. The police managed to locate the van the following day in a different area of the city. Unfortunately, the stolen items were no longer inside the vehicle.

During the investigation, evidence pointed to two suspects, aged 31 and 28. The 31-year-old suspect was arrested on Thursday, while the younger suspect was apprehended a day later. Both individuals are now in custody as the investigation continues.

Larnaca Incident

Meanwhile, in Larnaca, another 64-year-old man reported that €840 had been stolen from his unlocked car, which was parked in a field. Police investigations led to evidence implicating a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old minor in the theft.

Arrest warrants were promptly issued for both suspects. They were arrested on Friday night and are currently in custody for further questioning.

The police are urging citizens to remain vigilant and ensure their vehicles are securely locked to prevent such incidents. The investigations into these cases are ongoing, and the authorities are committed to bringing those responsible to justice.

Stolen items
The van recovered in Limassol contained several stolen items, including high-end electronics, luxury watches, and cash. Authorities also found documents suggesting involvement in organized crime. The investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of the thefts and identify all responsible parties.
