Assault cases are being investigated by the Kokkinotrimithia Police Station. According to the Police, shortly before 7 am, a 43-year-old man reported that a little earlier, around 6 am, while he was at his residence in Kokkinotrimithia, two persons, a 27-year-old man, and a 23-year-old woman, illegally entered his residence, after initially breaking the entrance of the house and attacked him with an object.
According to the police, “he believes they used a knife. The 43-year-old suffered some minor injuries, and abrasions.”
Investigation and Medical Examination
As part of the investigation, the Police located the two suspects in the area and they were both also injured. According to the Police, the two were taken by ambulance to the Nicosia General Hospital, where they were found to have injuries caused by a sharp object. The two are out of danger but are being treated. The 43-year-old man was also examined at the Nicosia General Hospital and discharged.
A forensic examination was carried out on all three to investigate the assault allegations they made.
Legal Proceedings
Police said the 43-year-old man was arrested on a court warrant to investigate the complaints of the two, the 27-year-old man and the 23-year-old woman. Police are also investigating the 43-year-old’s complaint of assault.
The local Kokkinotrimithia station is investigating the case.
