Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus battled the blaze that spread to a nearby kitchen and parking area. Three fire engines were called to the scene, and the fire, believed to have originated from a spark from an electric tool used outdoors, caused significant damage.

Rounding out the busy period, firefighters extinguished a car fire early Friday morning involving a Nissan vehicle abandoned on the Paphos-Chada road. The fire caused significant damage to the car and scorched a small nearby patch of dry grass. The cause of the fire will be investigated in collaboration with the Police.
