Limassol police are investigating an assault on four men in Germasogeia early on Sunday. The incident reportedly occurred after the victims honked their car horn at another vehicle.
Four Cypriot men, all 29 years old, were leaving a nightclub in Germasogeia around 3:30 am on Sunday. While driving on Ampelakion Street, their vehicle was allegedly attacked by the occupants of a car in front of them. According to reports, the attack stemmed from the victims honking their horn at the car ahead, which had stopped to talk to other individuals.
Details of the Incident
Authorities were alerted to the incident after a private hospital reported treating four 29-year-old men for injuries sustained in an assault. Three of the men required surgery due to the attack. Two sustained fractures and the third sustained other injuries, all requiring hospitalisation.
The Limassol Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is investigating the incident. Officers have taken a statement from one of the victims and examined the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and efforts are underway to secure witness testimonies. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the area is also being reviewed.
The reported description of the suspects is young men in their 30s with beards, speaking Greek, and driving a dark-coloured Mazda vehicle.
