Ministry of Health and Europa Donna Cyprus Join Forces to Combat Breast Cancer
In a significant stride towards the promotion of public health, the Ministry of Health has partnered with Europa Donna Cyprus through a Memorandum of Cooperation. This alliance is set to enhance efforts in the fight against breast cancer, focusing on education, early diagnosis, and research.
The Ministry of Health has announced that the collaboration will be channeled through its Education Sector of the Nursing Services Directorate alongside Europa Donna Cyprus. Together, they will develop and implement joint educational activities aimed at bolstering the prevention and early detection of breast cancer, as well as improving the management of related health issues.
Moreover, the two entities have committed to working hand in hand on the planning and execution of breast cancer research initiatives. This research is expected to provide valuable insights into the disease, potentially leading to breakthroughs in its management and treatment.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was officially signed by Dr. Christina Giannaki, the Director General of the Ministry of Health, and Marios Charalambides, the Executive Director of Europa Donna Cyprus. The agreement is set for an initial period of three years, with an option to renew for an additional three years, ensuring a sustained effort in this critical healthcare domain.
