Limassol to Welcome Aura, Cyprus’s Tallest Skyscraper by Shacolas

Limassol to Welcome Cyprus’ Tallest Tower

Limassol, a city known for its impressive skyline, is preparing to add a new jewel to its coastal front. The latest project, Aura by Shacolas, is slated to reach 181.5 metres, making it the tallest high-rise building in Cyprus. With 44 floors of architectural splendor, Aura is poised to redefine the city’s landscape.

While the Limassol mayor, Nicos Nicolaides, has not provided a statement on the development, the municipal council has given the green light for the project. This decision follows the cabinet’s approval to utilize the underground area beneath Andrea Zaimi Street for both private and public parking spaces associated with Aura.

In an innovative exchange, the developer will carry out compensatory measures beneficial to the community. These include donating a basement space from Aura for municipal use as a gallery and creating 300 public parking spots within the development. These community contributions are appraised at a value of €214,000, as reported by daily Politis.

The tower will boast 136 luxury apartments with diverse layouts including two, three, and four-bedroom options. Notably, the first floor of residential space will be elevated at 24.3 metres above ground level, providing residents with unparalleled views and privacy.

Designed by the renowned Foster + Partners architectural firm, Aura represents a significant investment in the city’s future. The estimated cost of bringing this project to life stands at €108 million, signifying a substantial commitment to both luxury living and urban development in Limassol.
