Polish video game creator, CD Projekt, plans to commence the production phase of “Polaris”, the next game in its esteemed Witcher series this year. Joint CEO and stalwart figure, Adam Badowski revealed that the firm aims to include approximately 400 members in the video game production by mid-2024. The new project, Polaris, is a trilogy set to amplify the universe of the Witcher medieval fantasy brand, which has successfully commercialized over 75 million copies since the launch of the original game back in 2007. However, with no concrete release date, market observers anticipate the first game of the trilogy to hit the market around 2026 or 2027. The company is also working on a new game, a sequel to the infamous and bug-filled release of “Cyberpunk 2077”, currently named “Orion”, which is in conceptual stages. Despite recent efforts to transform its studio, CD Projekt faces a few years without notable game releases.
