Lidl Cyprus has announced two charity concerts under the musical direction of Antonis Koizas and conductor Antonis Mytakidis – a financial endeavour to support the Cyprus Cancer Society. The charitable initiative will see the Cyprus Guitar Orchestra performing with Nikos Portokaloglou, aiming to enhance the association’s critical efforts. Scheduled for January 20 and 21 at the Strovolos Municipal Theater in Nicosia and the Rialto Theater in Limassol respectively, the philharmonic events promise a display of over 200 guitars on stage with soloists Giorgos and Stelios Golgaris, the Cyprus Guitar Trio and Marina Verzanli. Lidl’s longstanding relationship with the Cyprus Cancer Society has ensured the sustenance of several charitable causes over the last decade, providing support to the “Arodafnousa” Palliative Care Centre’s Food Program and Room Adoption initiatives. The supermarket chain’s consistent philanthropic work reflects its wider vision for a better future and commitment to cancer-affected individuals.
