The newly appointed Minister of Health, Michalis Damianos, elected the Oncology Center of the Bank of Cyprus for his first official visit outside the ministry. He was received by Christos Triantafyllidis, the President of the Board of Commissioners, and the General Manager, Panos Ergatoudis. Both gave him a short guided tour of the Oncology Department.

Following the tour, Damianos attended a meeting with Triantafyllidis and the members of the board as well as the management team of the Oncology Center. The focus of the discussion was around the center’s operations, its challenges, and the range of services it offers.

Both the President and Damianos acknowledged the hospital’s role beyond medical treatment – as a source of hope for patients.

Emphasizing the importance of the hospital, Minister Damianos stated the goals of his ministry are aligned with supporting and upgrading the Oncology Center due to its high level of medical services provided to Cypriot patients.
