Marios Hartsiotis, the newly appointed Minister of Justice and Public Order, has pledged his commitment to drive prison reform as part of a broader modernising prison system strategy. This assertion, made in a recent statement to philenews, aligns with the objectives set forth in the Christodoulides administration’s pre-election programme. Hartsiotis emphasized the urgency of implementing justice reforms and enhancing public security.
Having been deeply involved in the legal sector for over three decades, running his own law firm since 1990, Hartsiotis brings considerable experience to his new leadership role. He is also registered as an arbitrator at the Cyprus Center for Arbitration and Mediation and holds the title of a registered insolvency practitioner.
Hartsiotis is set to officially swear in and assume duties on January 10, replacing Anna Koukkides-Procopiou. His comprehensive post-appointment strategy aims to bring the pre-election objectives into tangible action.
