The unrecognized state often referred to as the pseudo-state, took an essential step in enhancing its international visibility. A protocol was signed to include the roads in its territories on Google’s platforms. The signatories were Erhan Arikli, dubbed as the “Minister of Public Works and Transport,” and Sadi Yolgetsen, the director of Fact Innovation and Technologies Ltd.
The deal stipulates that main country roads, highways and provincial roads will be surveyed using a specialized vehicle and camera. The collected data will then be published on Google platforms such as StreetView. This move is an intended effort to promote the tourist and economic potential of the region. By exposing these roads on a global platform like Google, the pseudo-state aspires to attract a broader audience, potential visitors, and investors.
